Meatball dinner planned

DEBS -- The annual meatball dinner is planned 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday Aug. 11 at Debs Trinity Lutheran Church, on Beltrami County Road 5 north of Debs.

Music and a bake sale are planned. A freewill offering will be accepted.

Summer recital series continues

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Area Church Musicians Summer Recital Series will continue with Muff Magelssen, organ, Jean and Jim DeSmet, flute and violin, Libby Sorenson, vocal soloist,

and The First Bottle Band at noon Aug. 14 at First Presbyterian Church, 501 Minnesota Ave. NW.

A freewill offering will be received for the concert and a luncheon will follow.

Free community breakfast set

PUPOSKY -- A free community breakfast will be served 9-10:15 a.m. Sunday Aug. 11 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, 1214 Durand Dr. in Puposky.

Irish reverend to speak

BEMIDJI -- Reverend Caldwell Darragh from northern Ireland will be speaking 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday Aug. 9 and 10 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday Aug. 11 at First Baptist Church, 1555 Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

He will be speaking on the topic of spiritual revival. His main calling has been to work as an itinerant evangelist throughout Ireland and the British Isles.
