--PULLOUT--BACB to hold third summer concert

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Area Community Band will present their third summer concert at 7 p.m. Sunday on the south lawn of Bangsberg Hall at Bemidji State.

The band will be under the direction of Tom Swanson, a retired BSU professor of music and member of the Bemidji Community Band trombone section.

In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside to BSU's Bangsberg Recital Hall.

--PULLOUT--"Flora Cash" to make debut at Muskie Days

NEVIS -- A Swedish-American duo, "Flora Cash" will begin their "Heartland Tour" Saturday at the Muskie Days Music Festival in Nevis.

The festival will play host to 34 bands on six stages beginning 4 p.m. Friday.

--PULLOUT--Isles to perform at LBSP

BEMIDJI -- Headwaters School of Music & Arts and Lake Bemidji State Park announce Bill and Kate Isles will perform 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Bemidji State Park Amphitheater.

The Isles are an acoustic singer/songwriter duo based in Duluth.

Admission to the concert is free, but a valid park pass is required. Day passes are $5.

--PULLOUT--Free grant writing workshop offered

BEMIDJI -- Region 2 Arts Council is offering a free grant writing workshops from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Region 2 Arts Council office, 426 Bemidji Ave. N.

Workshops will familiarize potential applications with the application process, what projects are eligible, how to develop a project budget and other tips for Region 2 Arts Council grants.

BEMIDJI -- Join an informal meeting and begin to learn a song at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Headwaters School of Music & Arts, 519 Minnesota Ave. NW.

Barbershop is the song, which is a four-part harmony sung without accompaniment.

Those who attend do not need know to how to read music.

--PULLOUT--Lake Bemidji Quilt Show set

BEMIDJI -- Headwaters Quilters Guild presents the Lake Bemidji Quilt Show 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church, 115 Carr Lake Road.

A vendor mall, raffles quilts and refreshments will be available. Bed turning will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Admission for ages 12 and older is $3.
