Man, woman die after Pine County motorcycle crash

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash in eastern Minnesota.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol news release, the motorcycle was north on Interstate 35 around noon Thursday in Pine County when the driver lost control and crashed.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports ( ) the driver and his passenger were airlifted to hospitals in Duluth. The 57-year-old man and 47-year-old woman later died.

Their identities have not been released pending notification of relatives.
