Rosselet, Pfleger are honored volunteers

The Bemidji Pioneer, Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, Ken K. Thompson and the United Way recognize Someone Special Volunteers who have made significant contributions to the community.

The Boys and Girls Club has nominated Sue Rosselet as a Someone Special volunteer.

Rosselet has served actively on the Club's board of directors since 2006 by being a terrific treasurer and Bemidji representative to the Boys and Girls Club Great Plains Area Council. Rosselet volunteers dozens of hours every month. She helps with financials, the Club's "It Just Takes One" annual campaign and special events.

She is also active at New Salem Lutheran Church and with Lutheran Campus Ministry. Rosselet, a retired Bemidji State University computer science professor, is married to Stu. She is an avid Packers fan and loves to bike & crochet.

Northern School PTO would like to thank Steve Pfleger for many years of dedication to Northern School's Media Center. He greets all students by name when they enter the library and lets them know he is glad to see them. Through his enthusiasm, he's helped promote a love of reading both in the classroom and at home. Pfleger has hosted many special events during and after school, including numerous book fairs, Family Reading Nights, Accelerated Reader "Million Word Club" and Dr. Seuss birthday parties - he's even been spotted dressed as "Cat in the Hat." His love of reading and love for children shines in everything he's done for Northern School.
