Trepanier, Simon receive awards
The Bemidji Pioneer, Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, Ken K. Thompson and the United Way recognize "Someone Special Volunteers" who have made significant contributions to the community.
Hope House has nominated Katie Trepanier and Denise Simon as special volunteers.
Katie Trepanier interned with Hope House for 411 hours. She quickly adapted during a period of high client attendance in the drop-in center. She handled urgent client needs when the activity coordinator was occupied with other clients. Trepanier helped redesign the client handbook, coordinated the surveys for the ARMHS program and provided much-needed assistance to staff with their caseloads.
Denise Simon interned with Hope House for 485 hours. She helped during a period of high client attendance in the drop-in center. She also re-designed the client handbook, updated the resource list, transported REACH brochures to community sites, and provided much-needed assistance to staff with their caseloads.
Hope House is very grateful to Trepanier and Simon for their Help.
Hope House provides support and skills training services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness to help them live hospital-free and in the community of their choice.
