Paul Bunyan Playhouse sets 2011 schedule
The Paul Bunyan Playhouse, located in the historic Chief Theatre, 314 Beltrami Ave. N.W., will launch the 61st season of professional summer theater June 8 with the premiere of "Forever Plaid "on stage through June 18.
Shakespeare's classic romp, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" starring fairies, lovers and amateur actors plays June 22 through July 2.
"Lend Me a Tenor," featuring the wildest curtain call ever seen, is onstage July 6-16, followed by "21A."
About the 21A bus that travels down Lake Street from Minneapolis to St. Paul, its characters are all played by Artistic Director Zach Curtis. Written by Paul Bunyan Playhouse alumnus and Minnesota's own Kevin Kling, "21A" plays July 20-30.
The season finale is "The Full Monty," which follows six unemployed steel workers who need to make money fast and their efforts to overcome insecurities and prejudices in order to do so. Performances are Aug. 3-13.
Wednesday through Saturday evening performances start at 8 p.m. and the Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

Flex books, consisting of five tickets which can be used for any performance in any combination, and season tickets for the same seat and the same night of each performance, are also available for a limited time.
