Trail Mix: A short jaunt

Trail Mix: A short jaunt BRRRRRRR!!!! We picked a lousy day to find time to walk. We've missed a couple of nice walking days this week already, and when I begged off at noon today because I was already going to be taking some time off for a tour of Bethany's new house (which they move into at the end of the month), I called her back a few minutes later to say let's just take a quick walk. I might have reconsidered if I realized how much colder it would be than the rest of the week was. Click here to read the Trail Mix blog.

Northwoods Politics: Klobuchar named to impeachment panel

Most Americans remember the tortuous route Congress took in the late 1990s to bring about the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. The U.S. House impeached the president, but the charges didn’t stand in a U.S. Senate trial. In the history of the United States, only 15 impeachment trials have been held, including 11 judges. Now a new one is gearing up, and U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, DFL-Minn., will play a key role.
