Bemidji youth places second at Young Artist competition 
Sadie Hamrin, 9, of Bemidji, achieved second place at the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist competition on Jan. 29 in Duluth. Hamrin, the youngest member of the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, played “Violin Concerto 23” by Giovanni Battista Viotti. The competition is for high school students or younger and is open to all orchestral instruments, including piano. Hamrin is instructed by Michelle Laliberte of Bemidji.
