Aerial gymnasts do well at Rising Star Invite

The Bemidji Aerial optional level gymnasts competed at the Rising Star Invitational in North St. Paul on Sunday. In the LEVEL 7 MEET, Emily Howard took 1st place in the all around with a score of 34.6. Howard finsihed 1st on the vault with 8.7, 4th on the uneven parallel bars with 8.8, 1st place on the balance beam with 8.85, and 3rd place on the floor exercise. Howard competed in the 14 and over age group.

Bemidji Aerial gymnasts compete at Northern Lights meet

The Bemidji Aerials Optional level gymnasts competed in the Northern Lights Classic at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Friday. In the LEVEL 7 meet, Emily Howard paced the Aerials with scores of 8.65 on the vault, 8.3 for 8th place on the uneven parallel bars, 8.45 for 9th place on the balance beam, 8.5 on the floor exercise, and 33.9 for 8th place in the all around.

Bemidji Pee Wee B team headed to state tournament

Bemidji’s Pee Wee B hockey team captured the West Region tournament last week at Little Falls and earned a berth in the state tournament which begins Friday in Aurora-Hoyt Lakes.

Aerial gymnasts win invitational at Buffalo

The Bemidji Aerials Level 8 gymnasts won the 1st place trophy at the Sweetheart Invitational in Buffalo last weekend. Alyssa Allen led the Aerials hitting 8.4 for 2nd place on the vault, 7.8 for 3rd on the uneven parallel bars, 7.9 on the balance beam, 9.025 for 3rd place on the floor exercise, and 33.125 for 2nd place in the all around.

Bemidji pee wee team places fourth at Paul Bunyan International

Bemidji, which captured the North Division Pool with a 2-0-1 record, dropped its two games in the Championship Bracket of the Paul Bunyan International Pee Wee Hockey Tournament, losing to St. Michael-Albertville 7-2 and to Roseau 6-5 to finish fourth in the 16-team field.

Bemidji Aerials gymnasts compete at state meet

Two gymnasts represented the Bemidji Aerials at the Minnesota USA State Gymnastics meet last weekend. In the Level 6 meet Stephanie Lauderbaugh (left) took 5th place on the floor exercise with a score of 8.8, and 10th place on the vault with 8.725. Lauderbaugh scored 7.0 on the uneven parallel bars, and 7.45 on the balance beam for a 32.0 point all around score. In the level 5 meet, Sara Nemgar (right) scored 7.725 on the vault, 8.325 on the bars, 7.8 on the beam, and 7.55 on the floor for a 31.4 all around total.
