Tuesday’s unofficial election results for Independent School District 36 in Kelliher and for a resolution in Koochiching County in the Northome-Indus School District were posted on the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website Wednesday.

FFA News By Aleshia Lucken Blackduck FFA started the new year off with its first official meeting Sept. 17 with 16 members in attendance. This year begins with an all new officer team which consists of Tisheena Freyholtz, president; Justin Bryant, vice president; Josh Scafe, treasurer; Joseph Nehl, secretary and Aleshia Lucken, reporter. The office-at-large team is made up of Rose Wirkus, Tawyna Lucken and Amy Eckstrom. The newly-appointed team hopes to set new goals and solid plans which will make Blackduck FFA a name to be proud of, now and in the future. “We want to be the best or at least be remembered as the ones who tried,” said President Freyholtz. “Hard work, team work, discipline and just having a good time will help us accomplish that.” Oct. 6, the FFA went to the Fall Rally in Brainerd. The soils team competed and did well, moving on to state. The forestry team did well and will also advance to state. Community Ed Excel class will be held Oct. 22 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the business lab, room 407. The fee is $20. Small Willow Basket class will be held Oct. 22 from 6:30-9 p.m. in the commons area. The fee is $20. Eight Hour Defensive Driving will be held Oct. 27-28 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. The cost is $14 to AARP and $4 to Blackduck Community Ed. Four Hour Refresher Defensive Driving will be held Oct. 29 5:30-9:30 p.m. The cost is $14 to AARP and $4 to Blackduck Community Ed.
