Requiring photo ID is not fair practice
There are politicians who wish to restrict voting by requiring a current picture ID. There are quite a few folks who don’t have picture ID, such as people who move a lot, the frail elderly and those in poverty. Let’s not require a picture ID for voting. It’s not fair. It would be like going back to the poll tax.

PEO awards Julie Campbell Ringle Memorial Scholarship
PEO Chapter EX recently awarded the annual $1,000 Julie Campbell Ringle Memorial Scholarship to Melody Hall, pictured center. Hall is in the LPN program at Northwest Technical College and works at DaVita Dialysis in Cass Lake. PEO is a women’s organization emphasizing education and scholarships.
