First-time winners, crashes, DQs highlight action
It was a night of clean sweeps, first timers, hard crashes and disqualifications at Bemidji Speedway Sunday night. A fine grandstand of fans enjoyed all the thrills stock car racing has to offer including four clean sweeps and a hard crash in the Mod Fours. Track conditions were fantastic with drivers racing from top to bottom on the quarter-mile oval.

Bemidji Speedway: Racing heats up on a hot night
Bemidji is known for its annual Jaycees Water Carnival which culminates with a fireworks display over Lake Bemidji on the night of the Fourth of July. But the fireworks came early at Bemidji Speedway on Sunday night with spins, crashes and a few tempers as hot weather, hot drivers and hot cars fueled the action. The first of two complete shows was held Sunday night.

Hot action on hot night
Monday’s second day of the Fourth of July special at Bemidji Speedway was much like Sunday’s, hot and muggy with a little bit of a breeze.
