Aug. 3 Sanford Center open house may be one of the final Bemidji performances by cellist Eric Haugen before he heads off to college. Eric and friends will perform from noon-3 p.m. today, July 27, at the Open House at the Sanford Center. Visual artist Jay Jones will display some of his work during the open house. This event is free and open to the public with refreshments by Dunn Bros. Coffee, gourmet cupcakes by Althea’s Bakery of Bagley and beignets by one of the center’s chefs. Tours of the facility including a behind-the-scenes look at Bemidji State University’s hockey installation will be given on the half hour starting at 12:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Sanford Center, Dunn Bros. Coffee, Althea’s Cakery and Venuworks. Visit the Sanford Center website at thesanfordcenter.net.
