  • Raider Iverson, 10, of Graceville, Minn., shot this 5-point buck with his .243 Savage rifle on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 7:15 a.m. He was sharing his grandfather's deer stand with his dad when he saw the buck emerging from the woods 75 yards away. Raider is the son of Larry and Nicole Iverson, and the grandson of Vern and Denice Iverson of Bagley.
  • Nathaniel Zanter shot this 11 point, 185 pound buck on opener evening. This was his first buck, he has had a doe in the past but never a buck. Nathaniel is 17 and the buck was shot in the Becida area. Nathaniel lives in Becida.
  • Jared Stately, 10, shot his first deer, this doe, at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 8, 2008 outside of Lake George. He was hunting with his grandfather, Daren Bradley.
  • Kelli LeClaire of Bemidji shot this spike buck and doe on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, while hunting on her grandfather's farm near Williams, Minn. Kelli was hunting with her father when this pair walked out about 175 yards from their stand. Kelli is the daughter of Jim and Kathy LeClaire of Bemidji, and the granddaughter of Les and Barb Nelson of Williams.

  • Mataya Halvorson, 13, shot a 10 point buck on the morning of November 8th. This was her first deer.
  • Randy Kircher of Bemidji shot this 200-pound buck with 16 points, including 2 sticker points, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 11 a.m.
  • McKayla Beaulieu, 12, of Bemidji, bagged this 8-point buck on opening day of her first deer season, Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. She was hunting in Frohn Township with her grandfather, Con Beaulieu.
