Nancy Ann Springer, 66, of Bemidji, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Neilson Place in Bemidji.

Nancy Ann Springer, 66, of Bemidji, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Neilson Place in Bemidji.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji with the Rev. Keith Willard officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial following cremation will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

She was born Nov. 7, 1942, to Roland and Evelyn (Summers) Sandelin in Litchfield, Minn. She was raised and educated in Minneapolis and lived in California for many years. She moved to Bemidji in 1980. She drove a school bus for the Bemidji School District for 17 years, retiring in October of 2008. She was an avid reader. She loved to knit, crochet and do needlepoint. She also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Ronald) Haberle of Blackduck, Debra Belcher of Bemidji and Sandra (Todd) Plaster of Osceola, Wisc.; sons, David (Debbie) Springer of Cass Lake and Richard (Cathy) Springer of Grand Forks, N.D.; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Rollyn Abdelrehem of Bemidji; brother, Dale (Marian) Sandelin of Alvwood, Minn.; nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Dennis Springer and special friend, Doug Hanson.

Rick, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Just take it one day at a time. She will be missed by many. I didn't know she was in bad health that she couldn't be home. God has her now and she don't have to suffer. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Your Friend, Patsy (Hensley) Edwards
