Donald “Don” Lee Nash Jr., 58, of Tenstrike, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donald “Don” Lee Nash Jr., 58, of Tenstrike, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Nebish with the Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating.

The Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck assisted the family with arrangements.

He was born April 6, 1951 to Donald and Barbara (Field) Nash in Marion, Ohio. He attended Marion Harding High School and U.S.A.F. School of Applied Aerospace Sciences. He served with U.S. Air Force from 1972-1978. He was honorably discharged as Airman 1st Class. He worked and traveled throughout the United States when he was growing up and while he was in the service. He married Jeanette Mistic on Nov. 14, 1980 in Anchorage, Alaska. He worked for Naylor’s Electric from 1993-2001 and for the Leech Lake Tribe as a Master Electrician from 2001-2009. He was a member of the National Electrical Union. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to take his children and wife camping and traveling. He enjoyed helping people and working around his home.

He is survived his wife, Jeanette Nash of Tenstrike; daughter: Kortney (Travis Seaburg) Nash of Rice, Minn.; son, Cody Nash of Tenstrike; sister, Judith (Paul) Lamprey of Rome, Ga.; brother, Roger (Lisa) Nash of Rome; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law.
