Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, , March 18, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud with the Reverend Alan Wielinski officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 19, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Funeral arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home.
He was born March 9, 1927, to Christopher and Catherine (Thom) Donahue in Marshall, Minn. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Rosella Genette Oct. 8, 1949, in Faribault, Minn. He retired from Northwestern Bell after 35 years, having worked in Faribault, Owatonna and Bemidji. He lived in St. Cloud from 1983 to 2008 when he moved to Shepherd of Grace Memory Cottages in Becker. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 424, and the VFW Post No. 4847.
He is survived by his children, Diane Collins of Hayward, Wis., and Steve (Cindy) of Saline, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Patrick.
Memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice, 605 Franklin Ave., St. Cloud MN 56304.
