Timothy Bud Preston, 82, of Bemidji, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the North Country Regional Hospital, Bemidji.
Timothy Bud Preston, 82, of Bemidji, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the North Country Regional Hospital, Bemidji.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 12, at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Jerry Burk officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sugar Bush Township Cemetery, Beltrami County, Minn.
Arrangements were made with the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
The pallbearers will be Timothy Preston, Tylor Preston, Andrayus Beaulieu, Brett Preston, Henry Preston and Jerry Larson.
He was born June 30, 1927, to Francis and Edna (Robins) Preston in Moose Lake Township, Beltrami County, Minn. He grew up and attended school in Sugar Bush Township. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Sept. 22, 1958, he married Dorothy Sisson in Bemidji. He worked on the range and worked in the woods as a logger. He also worked for Core Craft Canoe. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Bemidji; sons, Paul (Juanita) Preston of Bemidji, Wayne Preston of Bemidji and Dean (Tanya) Preston of Bemidji; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmie Preston of Hines and David (Barbara) Preston of Bemidji; sisters, Violet Thomsen of Bemidji, Myrtle (Maynard) Rusco of Aurora, Minn., Francie (Tom) Lyons of Bemidji, Helen (Danny) Morrison of Coleraine, Minn. and Bonnie (David) Burnham of Bemidji.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tommie and Jess and sister, Margie.

HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING TIM PRESTON FOR ABOUT 75 YEARS. IN THE 1930'S WE BOTH LIVED IN MOOSE LAKE TOWNSHIP ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF PIMUSHE LAKE. HE WILL BE MISSED. HARRIS SACHAU03/12/2010 3:26 PM
