Lee W. Johnson, 44, of Eveleth, Minn. died peacefully Monday, March 1, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Hospice surrounded by his family.
Lee W. Johnson, 44, of Eveleth, Minn. died peacefully Monday, March 1, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Hospice surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth with the Rev. Joel Rova-Hegener officiating. A gathering for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service. Following services, everyone is invited to join the family at the church for coffee and fellowship.
Arrangements were made with the Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth.
He was born Aug. 25, 1965, to Lee Kurt and Elaine (Korpi) Johnson in Eveleth. He was a 1983 graduate of Eveleth High School. He earned his associate in art’s degree from Mesabi Community College and a bachelor’s of science degree in business from Bemidji State University. He worked in sales for Potlatch in Kentucky and for the corporate office in Spokane, Wash. He attended United in Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his brothers, Kurt (Teresa) Johnson of Hermantown, Minn. Robert (Mary) Johnson of Eveleth and Dylan (Susan) Johnson of Pike Lake; his sister, Diana (Al) Pederson of Bemidji; nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Esther Larson of Virginia; aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
