Mabel Barbara (Qualie) Langseth, 96, of Clearbrook, died Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Good Samaritan Center, Clearbrook.
Mabel Barbara (Qualie) Langseth, 96, of Clearbrook, died Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Good Samaritan Center, Clearbrook.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley. Burial will be in the Sinclair Township Cemetery in Leonard.
She was born April 16, 1913, on the family farm, near Spalding, Saskatchewan. She married Leif Langseth in 1933, in Canada. Their only child, Edward Langseth, was born in 1934, in Spalding, Saskatchewan. The family moved to Leonard in 1937. In 1950, the family moved to Burns, Ore., where they lived until approximately 1970. In 1970, they moved to Prairie City, Ore., where Edward and his family lived. They left Prairie City in 1983, and moved to Clearbrook. Leif died in 1985, after they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her sisters, Myrtle Branvold and Ruby Brenna of Canada; her son, Edward (Cindy) Langseth of Byron, Wyo.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernie, Clifford, and Garfield Qualie and sisters, Emma Stenland and Bernice Hill and a grandson.
