Darlene Elizabeth Glenn, 70, of Bemidji, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her home.

Darlene Elizabeth Glenn, 70, of Bemidji, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home in Bemidji with the Rev. Genelle Netland officiating.

She was born Feb. 9, 1939, to Matt and Laurraine VanHeel in St. Paul, Minn. She grew up in St. Paul and was a 1957 graduate of Monroe High School. She married Harold Glenn on June 16, 1962. They lived in St. Paul until 1976, at which time they moved to Brainerd. She and her husband were self-employed working in the RV business. Upon retirement in 2001, they moved to Bemidji. She was a bowler and an avid reader who enjoyed murder mysteries. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Julie (Dewey) Larson of Bemidji and Jim (Sondra) Glenn of St. Cloud, Minn.; sisters, Marlys St. Martin of St. Paul and Jackie (Don) Finger of Woodbury, Minn.; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
