The Northwest Minnesota Women’s Fund recently announced the recipients of the regional Outstanding Community Builder awards: Mary Campbell of Bemidji, Sister Dolores Norman of Crookston and Audrey Eickhof of Crookston. People who live in the region nominated these women because of the impact their lives have had and the significant differences they have made in improving their communities as volunteers, as mentors, in their chosen professions, and in raising or supporting families.

Bemidji Rotary Club wins golf benefit

The Park Rapids Rotary Club issued a challenge to other Rotary clubs in the area, inviting four-member teams to participate in the club’s 15th annual Golf Benefit on Aug. 26. The invitation offered the winning Rotary Team a $500 donation in their club’s name to Rotary International or to a Rotary project of their choice. This year’s winning team comprised Amy Saeland, Evonne McKinzie, Gayle Quistgard and Shelly Geerdes, all of the Bemidji Rotary Club.
