The Blackduck boys basketball team took on the Nevis Tigers Dec. 13, taking the win, 71-60.
Delta Kappa to meet
MU Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will open the new year Jan. 14 at Sparkling Waters Restraunt &Lounge, 824 Paul Bunyan Drive in Bemidji. The speaker will be Ashli Bowen on the Backpack Buddies program.

The Northome City Council met for its regular meeting Dec. 7 with all but one councilmen present.
Northome School receives NASA grant
The Northome-Indus School Board met for the regular meeting Dec. 14.
Blackduck School to advertise for new superintendent
Numerous members of the school and community were present for the regular Blackduck School Board meeting Dec. 12 to hear what the school board planned to do about hiring a new superintendent. But before that was to be decided on, the board waded through a full agenda.
B-CL-Bears Update
Last year, the efforts of the Restore the Roar rebuilding project became apparent as the B-CL-B Bears made the move back to respectability ending with a 9-11 record.
