Outer space art
After nine weeks of work, with each art class working on different art pieces, Leo Alberti’s art room at Horace May Elementary School became Outer Space. Kindergarten and first-graders made a giant UFO, second-graders an alien, third-graders an astronaut, fourth-graders a space shuttle and fifth-graders planes. The pieces included the cow jumping over the moon. Alberti, who purchased a NASA jumpsuit for the unveiling, points out some unique pieces to fourth-grader Breann Hamilton, left, and Daniela Maltais, while Tonya Hughs and Shania Rieger react to the huge space shuttle.
