Grant Bateman, 84, of Osage, Minn., formerly of Bemidji, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in North Palm Beach, Fla. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverside United Methodist Church in Park Rapids. The Jones-Pearson Funeral Home of Park Rapids assisted the family with arrangements. The family requests memorials to the Grant Bateman Endowment Fund for student scholarships at Bemidji State University.
