The Cass Lake Area Chamber and Palace Casino and Hotel Winter Fishing Challenge, will be held from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, on Cass Lake. Advanced tickets are $30 per person, which includes the tournament fee and entry into raffles and drawings. Tickets will be available on the Cass Lake Chamber Web site casslake.com, Big Tap Bar and Grill, Froggy’s Bait, Safari Liquors, Bluewater Outdoors and Fred’s Bait. Tickets can also be purchased on the day on the ice, the day of the event for $35. Participants under the age of 18 must be registered by their parents. Only portable fishing houses will be allowed on the ice. No wheeled or pull behind houses will be allowed. All participants must attend a rules meeting at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the Cass Lake American Legion. Participants may be on the ice starting at 9 a.m. and prize drawings will continue until 4:30 p.m. Additional raffle drawings will be held at the Palace Casino and Hotel. There will be cash prizes awarded for largest fish. A walleye dinner will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, at the American Legion.
