Volunteer dentists, dental professionals and Northwest Technical College dental assisting program will team up to provide dental services for free to children whose families could not otherwise afford care. The free care will be provided to children under the age of 18, on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6, at Northwest Technical College, 905 Grant Ave. S.E. Registration is required and a parent or guardian must be present at the appointment. The Minnesota Dental Association is sponsoring this unique outreach effort, called “Give Kids a Smile.” This year marks the eighth consecutive year the Minnesota Dental Association has sponsored “Give Kids a Smile.” The statewide effort has grown into one of the largest efforts to provide free dental care to children in need.
