Anna Mae (Baumgartner) Carrlson, 74, of Perham, Minn., formerly of New York Mils, Minn., died with all 15 of her children surrounding her Sunday, July 26, 2009, at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home in Perham.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Perham, with the Rev. Dan Walz officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today, July 28, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

She was born Nov. 1, 1934, to Joseph and Mary (Majerus) Baumgartner in Petersburg, Neb. She attended St. John’s Catholic School, graduating in 1952. She then went on to attend Norfolk School of Business and after graduating, worked for Andrews Van Lines of Norfolk. She was united in marriage to John A. Carrlson Dec. 3, 1955, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Petersburg. They moved to New York Mills, in 1970, where they farmed until John’s death in 1979.

She loved to crochet, garden, and play bingo as well as follow the Minnesota Twins. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and family.

She is survived by her children, John (Kathy) Carrlson of Bemidji; Betty Sczygiel (Tom Golkowski) of Frazee, Minn.; Teresa (Gib) Ternus of Perham; Carol (Lester) Bain, of Verndale, Minn.; Donald (Sandi) Carrlson of New York Mills; Donna (Dave) Frandsen of Cohasset, Minn.; Ronald (Patty) Carrlson of Dent, Minn.; Robert (Beth) Carrlson of Richville, Minn.; Mary (Dennis) Fritz of Perham; Connie (Byron) Zitzow of Vergas; Patricia (Ron) Berns of Perham; Ed Carrlson of Cohasset; Rick (Lisa) Carrlson of Henning, Minn.; Becky Carrlson of Leal, N.D.; and Bobbi Carrlson of Grand Forks, N.D.; forty-seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (John) Werner of Perham; a brother, Joseph (Flor) Baumgartner, Columbia, South America; a sister-in-law and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brother, Peter Baumgartner; two grandsons; and a son-in-law.
