A memorial service was held Friday at the Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland, Colo.

She was born Aug. 1, 1918, to Clarence and Magdalen O’Beirne in Wadena, Minn. A few years later the family moved to a farm near Shevlin. She married Stuart Blashill in 1947. Stuart died in 1972, and she married Robert Stubbins of Bemidji in 1982. They moved to Loveland in 1988. She was a graduate of Mount St. Benedict in Crookston and was a nurse at the Bemidji Hospital in Bemidji. She was a homemaker for most of her life. For a few years she was the “Flower Lady” and cashier at John’s Super Value in Bemidji. She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing and designing the majority of her clothes all her life. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flower arranging and visiting with her family. She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Bemidji and later, St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Diann Carrington of Lake Elsinore, Calif., David Blashill of Lakewood, Colo. and Gary Blashill of Fort Meyers, Fla.; four grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Jorstad and Luanne O’Beirne of Bemidji and Cecilia Ries of Osseo, Minn.; a sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth, Bud and Clarence (Mon) O’Beirne; sisters, Ione Seado, Marcia O’Beirne and Patricia Brockman.
