Walker McGuire to open for Lee Brice at Sanford Center
BEMIDJI—Up-and-coming music country singers Jordan Walker and Johnny McGuire, or Walker McGuire, will be the opening act for the Lee Brice concert Feb. 8 at the Sanford Center in Bemidji.
Officials announced the opening act Friday in a press release, noting that "Jordan Walker and Johnny McGuire may not look like family or share a last name, but you wouldn't know it by hearing them sing. Signed to BBR Music Group's Wheelhouse Records as the new duo Walker McGuire, Jordan and Johnny take an opposites-attract approach to their music, fusing electrifying "brotherly" harmonies with a fresh new take on modern country."
The concert is set for Thursday, Feb. 8, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Brice found early success writing songs for established artists like Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw, the release said. He released his debut album in 2009 and set a record as the longest-charting song in its history. In 2012, his second album won "Song of the Year" at both the CMA and ACM Awards and earned rave reviews from NPR to Country Weekly.
Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $25 to $42.75. Tickets are available at the Bob Lowth Ford Ticket Pickup Windows at the Sanford Center, www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.
