
Wounded deputy arrives at rehabilitation hospital
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A Minnesota sheriff's deputy wounded by gunfire has left a Fargo, N.D., hospital and arrived at a rehabilitation hospital in Colorado.
Mahnomen County Deputy Chris Dewey was shot in the head and abdomen just over two weeks ago, while investigating a shooting in a Mahnomen neighborhood.
Spokesman Kenny Hosack says Dewey arrived at Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colo., about 2 p.m. Thursday.
Craig Hospital specializes in traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
Dewey had been treated at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
Two men are charged with 39 counts in Dewey's shooting.
