World War II pilot, 92, visits antique aircraft

BEMIDJI -- AirCorps Aviation of Bemidji performed an annual inspection this week on an Army model 1942 North American AT-6 trainer in the Civil Air Patrol hangar at the Bemidji Regional Airport.

On Tuesday, the aircraft was visited by 92-year-old Jack Fylpaa, a former U.S. Navy pilot during World War II who flew this type of aircraft in active and reserve service.
