Augustana (9-4, 5-4 NSIC) entered the game as the fourth-best scoring offense in the NSIC and Friday, it showed why, getting just one point shy of 100 in their 17-point rout.

Shaunteva Ashley and Riley Nordgaard led the Vikings with 22 points each and were among four players in double figures.

However, it was the Beavers (7-6, 3-6 NSIC) who raced out to an early lead. Led by senior Kate Warmack, the Beavers raced ahead to an early 7-0 lead in the game's first two minutes.

Augustana battled back to grab its first lead of the night at 15-13 with 12:44 remaining in the first half.

Senior Morgan Lee banked in a three-pointer to tie the game at 26-26 with 7:02 left in the half.

The Vikings capitalized on 12 Beaver turnovers in the first half to take a 48-43 lead to the locker room.

Despite trailing at the break, BSU shot 51.6 percent in the first 20 minutes.

A 10-0 Augustana run opened up a 13-point lead at 63-50 five minutes into the second half.

Back-to-back jumpers from Jessie Althoff fueled a 7-0 run for BSU that cut the deficit to just seven points at 73-66 with 8:49 remaining in the game.

Seven points is the closest the Beavers would get, as the Vikings led by as many as 22 points in the second half.

Warmack led all scorers with 23 points and added nine rebounds on the night.

Lee scored 17 points and dished out a career-high seven assists in the loss.

BSU will look to earn a split on the weekend as they take on No.11 Wayne State today at 4 p.m.
