The Golden Eagles rattled off 12 three-pointers — including eight in the first half — on their way to a convincing 104-84 victory over the Beavers Saturday night in the NSIC opener for both teams.

The Golden Eagles went 8-for-11 (72.7 percent) from 3-point land in the first half, while the Beavers failed to knock down a shot from long range (0-for-7).

With seven minutes left in the first half, UMC was 7-of-8 (87.5 percent) from beyond the arc. UMC finished 12-for-20 (65 percent), while BSU posted a 2-for-13 (15.4 percent) from 3-point range. It took 24 minutes of game time for BSU to hit a 3-pointer.

The Golden Eagles (4-1, 1-0 NSIC) led just 48-40 at halftime but outscored the Beavers (4-1, 0-1 NSIC) 56-44 in the second half to reach the century mark and get the victory.

Warmack went 12-for-14 from the field for an 85.7 percentage. She went a perfect 9-for-9 from the foul line, also career-bests for free throws attempted and free throws made. The double-double marked the fourth of the season for Warmack.

Tatum Sheley was the only other Beaver to reach double figures in the game.
