Woman injured in rollover crash in Bemidji, wheel believed to be cause

A Laporte woman suffered minor injuries at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday after she lost control of her vehicle on U.S. Highway 2.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Thief River Falls:

Carolyn Halverson, 20, was traveling east on Highway 2 near the intersection of 15th Street Northwest in Bemidji when the left rear wheel of the 1997 Chevrolet she was driving began to wobble. She lost control of the vehicle and rolled off the right-hand side of the roadway.

Halverson, who was wearing her seat belt, said she was sore following the crash. Emergency medical technicians with Bemidji Ambulance Service treated her; she was not transported.

The vehicle sustained severe damage.
