Woman injured in Beltrami County accident

A two-vehicle accident that occurred at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Beltrami County injured a 28-year-old woman.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Thief River Falls:

A 2003 Pontiac Bonneville was southbound on U.S. Highway 71, approaching the westbound ramp of U.S. Highway 2. A 2008 Dodge Calibre was westbound on the ramp, attempting to cross both lanes of Highway 71 when the Bonneville collided with the Calibre.

Brina J. Ellison of Little Canada, the driver of the Calibre, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. It was unknown if she was wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Bonneville, 23-year-old Jason P. Norvold of Bemidji, was not injured. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Also not injured were two passengers in the Calibre, including Ivory Rose Hilliard, 27, and Sara R. Dennison. Both were wearing their seatbelts.

Both vehicles were totaled.
