Winter weather advisory replaces storm watch in Bemidji area

The National Weather Services has issued a winter weather advisory for snow in the Bemidji area from midnight Saturday to 6 p.m. Monday. A winter storm watch that was issued earlier in the day is no longer in effect.

The area could get up to four inches of snow by the time it all ends on Monday.

The latest forecast for the Bemidji area:

Tonight: Snow likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 18. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday: Snow. High near 22. South southeast wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Sunday Night: Snow. Low around 14. East wind between 9 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Monday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 21. East wind between 13 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 7. East northeast wind between 8 and 11 mph.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 16.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -1.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 15.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -4.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 17.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 2.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 20.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 0.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 12.
