The campground, 16 miles northeast of Cass Lake, sustained severe tree damage.

The main boat launch remains closed due to exotic faucet snails, but a secondary boat launch is available near the campground dock.

Work crews continue to clear roads and recreation areas. Norway Beach Recreation Area, South Pike Bay Campground, Migizi Trail, Birches Picnic Area and Tamarack Campground remain closed by order of the Forest Supervisor. Those sites remain closed because of safety concerns and danger due to overhanging trees.
