Wayne Anthony Warren, 32, of Ogema, Minn., died suddenly on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at First Care Medical Services in Fosston.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, Minn., with the Rev. Jim Hinson officiating. A visitation began at 5 p.m. Monday and will continue until the time of services. Burial will be in the Warren Family Cemetery at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Lyman Lowry, Mike "Stink" Bevins, John Hummingbird, Tim Warren, Ryan Warren, Jeff Potter, Jason Bellanger and Ronnie Warren.
Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Mills, William Jackson, DJ Watters, Dean Bishop, Gene Soyring, Dean Bellanger, Wade Borah, William Hummingbird and all of his family.
The Anderson-Mattson Funeral Home of Mahnomen, Minn., assisted the family with arrangements.
He was born Oct. 17, 1976, to Ronald and Patricia (Alexander) Warren in Rapid City, S.D. At the age of 2, he moved with his family to Princeton, S.D., where he grew up and attended school. In 1996, his family moved to Waubun, Minn., where he began working at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen.
He met Andrea Bellanger and together they had a son, Shawn, in 1997. He later worked at Audubon Engineering, Team Industries and had been employed with White Earth Sanitation for the past three years. He met Marie King and they were currently living in Ogema and together they have a 2-½-month-old son, Richard. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, ricing, netting and mushroom picking. He also enjoyed teaching and sharing his hobbies, traveling and cooking.
He is survived by his fiancée, Marie, and infant son, Richard Warren of Ogema; children Shawn Warren and Alyssa Bellanger of Waubun; step-children, George and Mahlynda Burnette of Ogema; father of White Earth; brothers, Paul Warren (Nell Kier) of White Earth, Ronald T. (Elizabeth) Warren of White Earth and Shawn Warren (Ann Garrigan) of Pinewood, Minn.; sisters, Holly (DJ) Watters of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Claudette (Michael "Stink") Bevins of Ogema; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Warren, in 2004.
