Warm-up, snow bonus for outdoor enthusiasts
BEMIDJI – Finally, a warm-up appears to be in store for the region after brutally cold temperatures for most of the past few weeks.
If the forecast holds true, it should make getting outside a bit easier, particularly for snow-loving enthusiasts.
One to 3 inches of snow was expected Monday night, and more is possible Wednesday.
Skiers and snowmobilers will also enjoy comfortable conditions as temperatures warm as the week progresses.
The National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D., is forecasting temperatures in the mid to upper 20s, a balmy contrast to arctic temperatures that have gripped the region for most of the past three weeks.

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 16. A low around 2.
Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 26. A low around 14.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22. A low around 10.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 29. Low around 15.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. A slight chance of snow at night with a low around 15.
Sunday: A slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. Low around 13.
