Volunteers invited to help clear ski trails; Cass Lake Ducks Unlimited banquet Oct. 20
Members of the Bemidji Cross Country Ski Club will be hitting the trails this fall to make repairs and clear debris.
This Saturday the public is invited to join club members at Three Island County Park starting at 9 a.m. Parking is available at either the north or the south lot and the clearing is expected to be completed around noon.
Next Saturday, Oct. 15, club members are headed to the Buena Vista trail system for a session that begins at 9 a.m. and also is expected to end about noon.
Volunteers are asked to contact Mike Huerbin (766-4232) or Mark Walters (751-8235) for details of the work sessions. They are also asked to dress for the weather and work conditions.
Sportsmen are invited to the annual Cass Lake Ducks Unlimited banquet Oct. 20 at the Cass Lake American Legion.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the social hour and the games while the dinner and program will begin at 7 p.m.
A single adult membership to Ducks Unlimited and admission to the banquet is $40. A single membership for those who cannot attend the banquet is $35.
Membership options also include greenwing ($25) and spouse (two memberships for $70).
