The set scores were 25-23, 25-15 and 25-17.

The Beavers' (7-14, 4-6 NSIC) best chance to take a set was in the first frame. BSU battled with UND in the first, with the two teams tied-up six times before either team could reach 10 points. North Dakota broke out to a 10-8 lead, but BSU bounced back and tied the match 12-12.

UND grabbed a 15-12 lead after the tie, but the Beavers came back to tie the match at 16-16 and then kept rolling to a 22-19 advantage. North Dakota took a timeout and it proved to slow down the Beavers, as BSU came out of the break and gave two points to UND with two attacking errors.

UND's defense didn't allow a BSU hitter to reach 10 kills and Courtney Bitter only had 22 set assists. Laura Carlson was the lone Beaver to reach double-digits in digs with 13.

Brie Groskreutz had nine digs, good enough to move into seventh on BSU's career digs chart with 1,171 career digs.

BSU will play at home for the next three matches, starting Oct. 16 with Northern State.
