Veteran's Day programs set

The Blackduck High School band and choir will present their annual Veterans' Day concert Nov. 11 beginning at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.

Ushers will be Cynthia Veazey and Matthew Patch.

Advance of Colors by the Color Guard of the Blackduck American Legion and Auxiliary, Post 372 and the Sons of the American Legion will begin the program.

The Blackduck band will perform the Star Spangled Banner before American Legion Post Chaplain Bud Olson gives the invocaiton.

The keynote speaker, Jennifer Parker will give a speech on "The National Debt."

While the band playes Armed Forces -- The Pride of America, veterans will be asked to stand and be recognized as the song that represents their branch of service is played and then be seated.

Following performances by the Blackduck High School band and choir, Olson will then give the Benediction before the retirement of the colors.

Everyone is encouraged to attend.
