Post Chaplain, Bud Olson gave the invocation and benediction and high school Junior, Matthew Jedlicka was the keynote speaker, with a beautiful tribute, entitled "The National Debt."

The band, under the direction of Jeff Weaver, played four numbers, including one with several patriotic songs and the service songs of each of the five branches of the U.S. Military. Veterans from each service stood to be recognized as their service song played, while Marine Veteran Lee Coe, who also leads the Honor Guard and Army Veteran Jennifer Parker, lead the singing of each song, the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem.

Becky Haugen's choir followed with four numbers, including solos by Emily Biberg and Jessica Smith and ending with a beautiful number called Thank You, Soldiers, during which a video presentation of our nations soldiers was shown.

The concert was well attended and veterans received handmade cards from Blackduck Elementary students as well.
