Van Maasdam to lead print making class for children

Local artist Malisa Van Maasdam will lead a Print Making Art Class for children from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on consecutive Thursdays, April 14 and 21, at the Headwaters School of Music and the Arts, 519 Minnesota Ave. N.W.

This art class is for 7-10-year-olds who love to create art and color and crafts. Van Maasdam will use fun and crazy items such as potatoes, foam and corks to show participants how to create colorful stamps and designs on paper to create a scrapbook, story or art display. The cost of the class is $25 per student, and registration is open through Monday, April 11.
