Lisa Marie Newhouse, 39, a 1993 graduate of Bemidji State University, was located shortly before 3 p.m.

She had last been seen Monday afternoon leaving her Warroad home in a car, according to the Roseau County Sheriff's Office, which described her as "emotionally distraught" at the time.

Newhouse was "just located" and was on her way to a hospital, Janell Rasmussen, spokeswoman for the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, said shortly before 3 p.m. No other details on her discovery or medical condition were immediately available.

Newhouse teaches special education for Warroad Elementary School, said Superintendent Craig Oftedahl. He said Newhouse, who has been with the district for 12 years, had prepared as usual for the coming school year and did not give notice that she would be absent today.

Newhouse is a mother and is married to Donald Newhouse, an investigator in Roseau with the BCA, an official with the agency said. State records show she graduated from Bemidji State University in 1993.
