UPDATED: Five injured when pickup rolls over in Beltrami County
Five people were injured - two critically - in a pickup truck rollover that occurred about 9 p.m. Wednesday along U.S. Highway 2.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Thief River Falls:
Kenneth W. Hough, 56, of Cass Lake was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger west on Highway 2 on the 15th Street overpass when he lost control on the icy bridge. The truck overturned off the roadway to the right and rolled down the hill.
One occupant was ejected.
Hough suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Passengers Clarice E. Archambault, 23, and Clara E. Smith, 77, were both critically injured.
Two other passengers - Tina M. Smith, 23, and Helena R. Smith, 2 - suffered non-life threatening injuries.
All five were taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. Those with non-life-threatening injuries were treated and released. The two women who were critically injured remained in the hospital Thursday morning. Archambault was listed in good condition and Clara Smith was listed in fair condition.
Hough, Clara Smith and Tina Smith were all wearing their seat belts. Archambault was not wearing a seatbelt. It was unknown if Helena Smith was wearing a seat belt.
Addresses were not listed for the passengers in the crash.
The pickup was totaled.
Assisting at the scene were the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and Bemidji Police Department.
