UPDATED: Bemidji woman injured after driver fails to yield

BEMIDJI - A Bemidji woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon when a driver failed to yield and struck her car broadside.

Janet Enquist, 48, suffered non life-threatening injuries in the collision, which was reported at 2:50 p.m., the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Enquist was driving a Ford Taurus south on Highway 71 when her car was struck by a Jeep driven by 29-year-old Cole Nelson of Pequot Lakes.

The State Patrol said Nelson was driving east on Highway 197 and failed to yield to a red light, striking Enquist's car. Nelson suffered no apparent injuries.
