United Way picks up donations for Holiday Gifts for Kids

Hailey Piegen, volunteer with the United Way of Bemidji Area’s Holiday Gifts for Kids, picked up two boxes of gifts from Walgreens Monday afternoon. Families have until Friday to apply to receive gifts. The distribution will be on Dec. 2O at the Bemidji National Guard Armory. Last year 450 families — more than 1,110 kids — received gifts through the program. Dondelinger’s donated the use of a truck for the United Way volunteers to pick up the gifts.
