BEMIDJI-- The United Way of Bemidji Area Board of Directors approved an investment of $300,000 in 32 local non-profit programs and initiatives.
This investment creates opportunities for our neighbors to have a better life by focusing on education, income and health. The United Way's campaign which is run annually throughout the Bemidji community in Sept. and Oct. provides the resources for these investments.
The United Way focuses on addressing unmet needs in the community. Also, United Way promotes education around the earned income tax, child tax credit and free tax preparation site outreach and awareness to help create financial stability for those in need.
